After the success and sheer FUN of Treasure Island – the Panto !, the Musical Theatre course is delighted and excited to announce that we are staging Disney’s The Little Mermaid in 2018!

 

This musical offers many roles for singing, acting and dancing.

 

Cast profiles, Music and sections of scripts are attached below. If the character that you’re auditioning for sings, please prepare a song and script piece, see attachments.  Otherwise prepare the script piece only for your character.

 

If you are interested in dance only please prepare a short dance from the attached YouTube clip or a piece of your own.

We are auditioning for lead role actors and singers that are 12 years and upwards for the following parts:

Ariel                 Prince Eric                  Sebastian                      King Triton                      Chef Louis                           Ursula, the Sea Witch

The six Mersisters (double as the six Princesses)

 

 

The parts for younger ages, 6-11 years, are as follows:

Flounder                   Flotsam                       Jetsam                           Tentacles (6 performers)                         Scuttle                        Grimsby                       Pilot

Gulls (3 performers)                Carlotta, housekeeper to the Palace

 

 

And “The Chorus” of singers and dancers who will play lots of different parts, such as some of the following:

Chefs                   Sailors                  Sea Chorus                  Sea Creatures              Merfolk

 

The younger children, ages 6-11 years do not need to audition for The Chorus or Merfolk, Sea Creatures, Sailors as all dances and songs will be learnt in class and are especially for the younger cast members.

28th May & callbacks on 20th August from 3pm in Greystones Studios

 

 

It important to note that all children that attend our Friday Musical Theatre classes and/or audition will get a part in the musical, and get to be in costume on stage.   Productions like this require commitment and children will need to be able to get to rehearsals in Greystones for 5.00pm-6.30pm every Friday.  Fees are €12 per class.  From Term 2 extra classes will be held on Sundays.  All rehearsals need to be attended.

Show time is Saturday, 7th and Sunday, 8th April 2018. Both shows will be matinees.
